Auguste Léon GOOR (1864-?) - France

He should not be mistaken for his son Gaston GOOR who also achieved several models for the MOUGIN workshop at the crockery-shop of LUNEVILLE. Then over 60 years old, Auguste Léon GOOR, a self-trained artist and retired captain paymaster at the 8th Dragoon regiment, he drew the models of some twenty art deco pieces, produced by the MOUGIN in LUNEVILLE. Despite his age he exemplified an astounding modernism and his works testify an obvious talent.
