He succeeded his father
Achille in 1905, then in 1927 he created his own studio, helped in this way by
an only fellow-worker, Fernand LAURENT (1885-1946). Despite his talent as a
thrower, his production was then exclusively dedicated to decorative cast
stoneware and he centered all his researches on numerous attempts at earth and
glazing which benefited among others to Raoul LACHENAL in 1924-1925 or Lucien
ARNAUD in the 30s. He particularly liked metal glazing (gold or platinum) with
special casting effects through creosote-blasting, after applying ceramic gold,
but he gave up this technique in 1940 for economic reasons. He sold his business
on June 1st 1956.
